7 Organization Hacks For Your Kitchen
Over the Door Shoe Holder– This hack is one I personally love and have used for years and I think it saves me so much space as well as makes things easy to get to. Just buy a clear one as it makes it easier to see inside. I put anything from bulk spices in small zipper bags to single serving snacks like granola bars. They also fit microwave popcorn bags well, too. This saves you so much space because you can throw out boxes that stuff comes in and just store them loosely.
Office Drawer Organizers– These work great as extra shelving in pantries when nails to the wall for small things like spice jars. You can also use them in drawers for separating out different kinds of kitchen nick-knacks like paper straws, small appliance pieces, Additionally, the wire racks you buy for paperwork make great organizers for canned goods.
Lazy Susan– While most people know these can come in handy for storing items in the kitchen, they can be especially useful for a couple of specific organization needs. You can use it for your morning coffee routine by placing only what you want easy access to such as sugar, dry creamer, your cup, flavorings and even honey for tea. You can also use them for placing all of your spice jars on so you can just spin it around rather than dig through them looking for what you need every time.
Pringles Cans– Don’t toss these out as they make excellent storage cans for dried good like long spaghetti and linguini as well as tools. To make them match just about any decor, cover them with some patterned contact paper!
Tension rods in your cupboard– If you buy the small tension rods that you can fit into small spaces (most are less than $3 each), you can place them vertically so you can save space in your cupboard and organize pot lids as well as cutting boards.
Hooks on Cupboard Doors– If you have room on the inside of your cupboard doors, place small hooks on them for hanging your measuring spoons, potholders and measuring spoons as well as anything else you always need quick and handy.
Pegboard– You can buy a pegboard for cheap at hardware stores and get the hooks for them for pretty low cost, too. They are great for that one wall you have that is not being used. You can hang strainers, tools, gadgets, post, potholders-anything you can come up with! You can even paint the pegboard to match your kitchen!
