I wish I could write a huge description on how to make these, but honestly, it’s just kiwis and chocolate! This was a simple fun recipe I did with my two year old who absolutely refused to eat kiwi. We LOVE kiwi’s and so when we introduced them to Hannah, she said, ‘Ewww yucky’ in classic two year old fashion. It was very frustrating, I was surfing Instagram (if you don’t follow us you can do that here) and saw this idea and thought, maybe, just maybe we could make a less guilty dessert for us and re-introduce kiwis to her.
So without further blabbering, I present Kiwis, dipped in chocolate, and put on a stick like popsicles! Super simple and easy. They were fun not only to make but eat!
The chocolate forms a thin, but hard outer shell which, and the kiwi is so fresh and yummy.
The process for making these is pretty straight forward. You skin the kiwi, and then slice it into whatever size you would like for the popsicle. Put sticks into the kiwis and then freeze them for about an hour. Then slowly melt chocolate in the microwave, add a little shortening to make it shin, and it will also make the chocolate shin when dried.
Dip the kiwi’s into the chocolate, and they will begin to harden almost immediately. I put them back into the freezer and took them out throughout the week for a nice easy snack!
