Mornings around here are touchy. No one likes to talk, least of all me, and we are still adjusting to getting up at 7 and having all day school. None of us are really morning people, there’s a lot of grunting and groaning, moaning, and rushing. We tend to oversleep, either hitting snooze too many times, or just sleeping right through the alarm. Yes, we are those people. Hannah has remarkably not had a tardy yet.
We came awful close on Friday to a tardy. We all woke up at 8:01 am. School starts at 8:15 am. It took my eyes a minute to focus on the time, and I was quite baffled to see we had indeed overslept so we all got up much faster than we usually do and the whirlwind began. Somehow by a miracle, we got Hannah out of the house and to school without a tardy, in 14 minutes. I mean that has be some kind of Guinness record right?
One of the things that is difficult for mornings period and especially mornings where we oversleep is making sure Hannah has a filling breakfast that will carry her until lunch. I must confess that Friday morning there seemed to be a shortage of options, ones that she could either carry with her, or eat quickly. I think she ended up eating a cheese stick. But I began to research what else was out there that I could give her in the mornings that was hand held and not time consuming? I came across Sandwich Bros. Egg White and Turkey Sausage Flatbread Pocket Sandwiches.
These flatbread pockets are filled with 100% all natural turkey sausage with a fluffy egg white omelet that has natural cheddar cheese. The box contains four sandwich pockets individually wrapped. You take one of the sandwiches out of the wrapper, wrap it in a paper towel and then place in the microwave for 75-85 secs and just like that breakfast is done. I knew I had found something that would keep this family running in the mornings and help continue to get to school and work on time!
It really is as easy as those directions. I grab a premade smoothie on the way out the door, along with my sandwich, and I have a hunger busting breakfast that gets me ready to start my day, and stays with me until lunch. I like that they are only 150 calorles but pack a wallop of 11 grams of protein! These Egg White and Turkey Sausage Flatbread Pocket Sandwiches have certainly made our mornings function a little bit smoother.
