General Twitter (1)
After going to TwitterAudit.com, I found that I have 337 spam accounts following me and my score was a 95%. How do I find the spam accounts and block them?
Great question! This is super simple! Head over to ManageFlitter. Click the Manage Tab, then click the ‘Fake Spam’ option on the left hand column. Then click ‘Fake Followers’ and block anyone you want. They are not able to follow you if you block them! There are a few other services besides TwitterAudit.com. Social Bakers will give you a few of the fake followers and you can BLOCK them via Twitter. Status People has a monthly subscription at about $5.50 a month. (Twitter Audit is coming out with a paid version soon.) For me it’s hard to justify spending anything additional, but it’s out there if you want it. My score on Twitter Audit is 96%, i’m okay with the 4% of spammers, because I don’t have the time to block each and every one of them.
Questions Starting Out (1)
It really depends. My recommendation is that if you have an account over 2,000 followers you should be fine following 100 people a day. I would not exceed that initially. If you want to work up to 150, do that over two weeks. For accounts under 2,000 followers, I would start by following 50 users a day and work up to 75 after two weeks.
