If you follow WannaBite you know I’m a busy guy. Whether it’s my day job at an ad agency or my night ‘hobby’ (more like part time jobs) managing WannaBite and WeUseCoupons, I’m BUSY. The weekend is my chance to shop for the week and I really try hard to give my wife some ‘mom alone time.’ I take our 3 year old princess to the store, park and usually a fast food play place and plan out my lunch meals for the upcoming week. Some weeks I’m buying deli meat, other weeks I’m buying frozen meals.
A few months ago I was introduced to Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Meals at BlogHer. I tried them for the first time at that conference was was Honestly surprised (pun intended). I like REAL food, and my wife is slowly training me to choose whole foods over processed foods. So when I looked at the label on the Lean Cuisine meal I could actually PRONOUNCE all of the ingredients.
So this past weekend, I decided to print out my coupon from LeanCuisine.com and head to Target to pick a few of these up! Hannah of course demanded that we stop by the park first, and I graciously accepted, it was a beautifulfall day. She loves going shopping with Daddy, she knows we are always on a mission. We play detective and explorer. She is one of the reasons I want to eat better. I don’t want her to hear one thing from me and see another. Bad habits start young so eating healthy is important. So I’ve been on a mission to teach our little toddler healthy habits. Usually convenience equals unhealthy, so heading to fast food, I opt for a salad instead of a high calorie burger. My wife brings her to the gym when she works out, the gym has a daycare and Hannah LOVES it. For us living healthy means small choices everyday. It’s a constant battle and one that we have to decide to fight daily.
With Lean Cuisine Honestly Good the battle to stay healthier became easier for me and my family. First they are honestly GOOD. They are. I’ve had all six varieties because I eat them at work on a regular basis. From salmon and veggies to roasted red pepper chicken they really hit the spot in an amazing way. If you follow me on Instagram you get to see all six varieties.
I strongly encourage you to look for this NEW version of Lean Cuisine. It’s not found in the traditional frozen aisle, but usually found in the organic section. At my local Target I found it in the ‘meals for one’ section right across from the cheese. You’ll have plenty of variety including: Honey Citrus Chicken, Lemongrass Salmon, Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish, Pomegranate Chicken, Roasted Red Pepper Chicken.
