I like easy. Plain and simple. One of the benefits of Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice or Smart Ones Pizzas is that you just stick them into the microwave and bam, in 2 minutes you’ve got a pizza. The problem the pizzas are high in sodium, 500-700 mg and are 300-450 calories! Yikes. If you want to eat clean, that’s also hard with those products! This pesto pita pizza has about 295 calories. (pita 100, sauce 20, pepperoni 50, pesto 50, cheese 75) Not bad considering you can pronounce every ingredient!
Now be careful! Pitas can range up to 200 calories each, but we found a few brands that are 100 calories per pita. The pesto we get in a small container at whole foods every 2-3 weeks. It’s actually cheaper than making it yourself AND it’s delicious!

- 1 tbsp pesto
- 1 whole wheat pita
- 7-8 pepperoni's
- 1 tbsp of pizza sauce
- ¼-1/2 cup shredded cheese
- Place all ingredients on pita and place in a 425 degree oven until cheese is bubbly.
