“I’m sharing French’s® in my life as part of a sponsored series for Socialstars™”
I don’t know about where you live but around here it feels like Mother Nature has been in a tail spin. We had a warm February, and then bam when it was supposed to spring in late March and April, it was winter temps again. Well now, I think we have skipped the spring weather all together and have come right into the summer temps. But seriously I can’t complain, I love front porch sitting and watching Hannah ride her bike up and down the street, again and again. This has been my favorite part of moving onto a secluded street.
So what do you do when it gets finally warm outside?! We like to have people over. We finally are in our own space again and I absolutely love getting people over to the house and just hanging out with them. Now of course it is expected that if there is going to be a gathering that you will feed these said people. I try to have simple foods that are easy to prepare but that we all can all enjoy.
Typical foods that accompany any outdoor gatherings are burgers and hot dogs. These are two of the easiest things to prepare and easy to cook. But what really sets these foods and any of the foods you make off is the quality of condiments. If your condiments that you top your burger or dog with aren’t quality, it doesn’t matter how top quality your food is, it will go straight down hill.
For us and our family we use French’s mustard time and time again. I know that French’s is always going to be quality mustard and they have a variety of mustards available. If you are a classic mustard fan, spicy brown mustard, or a smooth a creamy Dijon mustard lover, French’s has it for you. No matter which mustard you choose it will elevate your backyard gathering, and turn up the volume on your food.
I like to have an appetizer when having people over. It gives me more time to socialize and honestly keeps the vultures from circling too much. For this particular gathering I wanted to up the ante so- to-speak for an appetizer. I decide to make Puff pastry wrapped green beans with spicy dijonnaise.
Anytime you mention puff pastry, i begin to salivate, all that butter pastry just melting in your mouth, I just love it. I wanted to take that party pleasing ingredient and wrap it around some blanched green beans, pairing it with an amazing sauce to take this appetizer to a whole new level. The infusion of real Chardonnay into the mustard gives French’’s Dijon mustard an edge of over everyone else in taste and quality.
Pick up some French’s Dijon Mustard at your store and elevate you appetizer to the next level. Make this Spicy Dijonnaise, it is so good. Get some awesome ideas for French’s on Pinterest. Find them on Facebook as well!

salt to taste
1/2 cup of French’s Dijon Mustard
1/4 cup of mayo

In a pan heat salted water to boiling. Put green beans into boiling water for 1 min or until bright green, no longer than 2 min. Remove from boiling water and put into ice bath. Dry green beans and wrap the puff pastry around each one like a candy cane. Place in the oven at 400 degrees. Place green beans in over for 6-7 minutes or until slightly golden brown
