4 Tips to Fall Into Fall

It’s the fall. Finally, finally after what has seemed like a scorching summer we are getting some cooler temps. I love the smell of fall. There is just something intoxicating about it. Sitting on the porch and watching the leaves fall, the kids play in the leaves it just all feels cozy. As a busy dad, I crave routine. My routine doesn’t really change much in the summer. I still have to be at work everyday, but the family’s routine goes out the window. So, as a man who thrives on routine, I am happy to fall back into our routine.

With each start of the school year that routine soon lays itself out. We are lucky in that it’s a slow ramp up to all activities, and it isn’t until about September that everything is in full swing. By this time the night time schedules are full and bursting at the seams. We often eat in shifts or hurriedly at the table. This is the perfect time to talk about my 1st tip to make that Fall routine easier. Meal routine. Get into the spirit of the season. For those not sure where to start, just look at what restaurants seem to be offering seasonally, or just ask them whenever you go to one. So, my last tip to help Fall into Routine, is to store your shorts. Now in Kentucky this can be a bit tricky.  Our weather can be tricky, and it can be 55 one day and 90 the next. So when you think it’s safe to be in jeans and sweaters pack up those shorts and lighten the load on your closet.
