It’s the fall. Finally, finally after what has seemed like a scorching summer we are getting some cooler temps. I love the smell of fall. There is just something intoxicating about it. Sitting on the porch and watching the leaves fall, the kids play in the leaves it just all feels cozy. As a busy dad, I crave routine. My routine doesn’t really change much in the summer. I still have to be at work everyday, but the family’s routine goes out the window. So, as a man who thrives on routine, I am happy to fall back into our routine.
With each start of the school year that routine soon lays itself out. We are lucky in that it’s a slow ramp up to all activities, and it isn’t until about September that everything is in full swing. By this time the night time schedules are full and bursting at the seams. We often eat in shifts or hurriedly at the table. This is the perfect time to talk about my 1st tip to make that Fall routine easier. Meal routine. Get into the spirit of the season. Take full advantage of those in-season veggies, stews and soups that can easily be made in a crockpot and reheat amazingly. This can help get dinner done very quickly, and therefore eaten quickly. You can also transport soups and stews very easily. Don’t forget about seasonal favorites, pumpkin and apple. Pumpkin soup, apple cider, and of course the treat version of those, apple pie and pumpkin pie. Yummo!
Just like spring is for opening doors and windows and cleaning, fall is for freshening up and cleaning out, if you do not have that much time to clean, check out the Spokane hood cleaning service. This is my number 2 tip for falling into a good routine. It’s hard as a dad juggling work, everyone’s schedules and trying to make it to everything on time. Here in Wilmington, our windows get dirty quite often due to the ocean air. Luckily we have PowerTech Power Washing that pride themselves on keeping our homes as clean as possible by power washing them clean. We also are planning to buy a screen to prevent insects from getting inside our home. Another thing I hate is when I go to empty the dishwasher and find the “clean” dishes are still dirty. (Yes, I do occasionally empty the dishwasher.) There has to be a solution to this right? It’s not a time saver if I have to either wash everything by hand or rewash them in the dishwasher. But the issue becomes what if it’s the dishwasher that is making them dirty? What do you do? You have to get the build up out of the dishwasher. And if your house needs a deep clean, contact the professionals at a cleaning service for Pressure washing in Petoskey MI.
If you want to avoid all the struggle in cleaning, it’s recommended that you employ the services of renowned professionals such as maid service Austin.

I know the weather is cooling, but that doesn’t mean that your favorite summertime activities have to cease all together right away. As a dad I love to grill in the summer. It’s the one domain I get to claim as my own. My wife owns the kitchen and doesn’t like me messing with her part of the castle. But the grill is all mine. So my third tip for falling into fall routines is helping out at dinner time by maintaining the grilling routine. It’s so easy to crank up the fire and put some burgers and dogs on. You get a quick hot meal and you feel very proud of yourself for putting dinner on the table. Plus, it does help give my wife a break as well. I encourage all other dads to maintain those grilling routines too! It’s not just for Sundays! If you have accumulated a significant amount of grease from cooking and grilling, there are companies you can contact to collect or recycle it.
We live in a 100 year old house. We have more storage than some homes that old but not nearly enough, which is why we’ve been considering shipping containers in NYC to purchase and place in the backyard since otherwise, what it means for us is that we cannot have access to all our clothes all year long. So, my last tip to help Fall into Routine, is to store your shorts. Now in Kentucky this can be a bit tricky. Our weather can be tricky, and it can be 55 one day and 90 the next. So when you think it’s safe to be in jeans and sweaters pack up those shorts and lighten the load on your closet. This will help selecting clothes in the foggy early mornings when the getting out bed is even harder because it’s still dark outside.
