If you are hoping to spread a little kind holiday cheer, here are some random acts of kindness to do this holiday season.
Random Acts of Kindness to Do This Holiday Season
Be extra polite in traffic. Most people are so tired and worn out this time of year and the traffic pushiness seems to increase due to everyone wanting to get somewhere. If even for just one day, be extra polite on the road. Allow others to merge and get into traffic.
Leave an extra large tip. This one can cost you a bit, but if you happen to eat out a simple meal this holiday season, leave a tip that is much larger than expected for your server along with a nice note.
Buy hot cocoa for coffee for outdoor workers. If you see a Salvation Army bell ringer or even a guy on the side of the road holding a sign for a business, hop over to the nearest coffee drive thru and get them something hot to drink.
Shovel your neighbor’s walkway. Don’t even ask, just go shovel their driveway or walkway and dust off their cars. Try to do this early enough that they don’t see you and leave a simple not under the wipers letting them know they were just given a random act of kindness without letting them know who it was.
Bake something good for those that serve you. If you happen to go to a same bank branch, the library or even a favorite gas station on a regular basis, bake some yummy cookies to take to them on a random day and share your holiday cheer.
Be extra courteous at the store. Offer to take people’s carts back, allow people to go ahead of you in line at the checkout and be patient in the aisles. Smile at everyone you make eye contact with. Stores are stressful this time of year and your absolute politeness might just change someone’s day.
Leave quarters near the parking meter. Just attach them with a little tape and a note that says they have been given a random act of kindness. This also works with vending machines as well. Leave a note that says, “Buy a snack (or soda) on me” with enough change to do so. Are you looking for a Vending machine for sale? Contact Royal Vending
