I am not sure I have expressed my love for brownies. I love them! I like them half done, and totally gooey. Most people love the crusty edges, not me; I go right for the center. I don’t want any edges touching my precious brownies. I did say I loved them right? I even add in extra chocolate chips just to give that extra hint of deliciousness.
But recently, I discovered the Blondie. What’s a Blondie??? It’s a brownie without chocolate. Now before you dismiss this wonderful confection, chocolate lovers, here me out. Its go the brownie texture we all know and love, has white chocolate chips, (stay with me here) and will take on the flavor of whatever, you give it. Trust me it’s a win-win. I generally am not a big fan of white chocolate, but it totally works here. I knew from the first bite I had to recreate a blondie recipe at home and I had to see what flavors would work in there.
I was recently asked by The J.M. Smucker Company to create some unique tips for using a new product and I wanted to share with you Smuckers Fruit and Honey Spread. I came across this item while shopping at Kroger, (get an awesome coupon here) and I like jam on my toast in the mornings so I bought blueberry lemon flavor and we headed home. Now remember me tell you that I write recipes while I am shopping and to stay tuned to see how I used that wonderful product. Well I think I just found my vehicle delivery system. I wanted to make a blueberry lemon blondie and use the Smuckers Fruit and Honey spread in the batter! The white chocolate would marry quite well with these flavors and I knew the Fruit and Honey Spread would shine through!
I put the ingredients together in my mixing bowl, added in the Smuckers Fruit and Honey Spread, with some fresh blueberries and I had a beautifully bluish/purple mixture. I could tell already this was going to be beyond delish! I popped it in the oven, set a timer and let the deliciousness happen! The house began to smell like blueberry blondie heaven. I couldn’t wait to try them out. I pulled them out of the over, allowing just a couple of minutes to rest, I like my blondies warm! I cut into squares and dived for that middle piece. How did it taste? Let me tell you I cannot think of a better use for Smuckers Fruit and Honey Spread Blueberry Lemon flavor than what I did here. To say it was amazingly good is not doing it justice! Give it a try and you will Love it!!! Smucker Fruit and Honey Spread transformed my Blondies!!!
