Broasted Chicken Tenders

I think its become somewhat a tradition for us to lunch on Sundays after church. I can cook sure and you know what many times I do, but there is just something about taking the family out to lunch and not having to do the dishes. You know what I mean? I have an unnatural love for chicken. I could eat chicken three times a day every day. I love it almost any way you can make it but what I really love is crispy chicken tenders.

I think they are my favorite chicken vehicle because they just lend themselves to sauce. A good sauce really will compliment whatever you are putting it on and will not overpower it. I like my crispy chicken tenders to be lightly battered with a crispy crunch on the outside but wonderfully juicy on the inside. I have been known to frequent a restaurant just for their chicken tenders and nothing else. So, when I find a place that really makes them above and beyond I tend to go back over and over.

I recently talked to you guys about Bob Evans’ broasted chicken. I am sincere in my devotion to that deliciously fried chicken. But the last time that we visited Bob Evans they had a new menu item, their Broasted Chicken Tenders. Now my love of their broasted chicken was evident in that last post, so you can imagine my elation to find out that they now did chicken tenders the same way! It’s a no brainer for me, this time, this Sunday I was getting those crispy chicken tenders. I was excited!

I noticed they had some interesting sauce choices that I had not previously seen places before. A citrus based orange sauce, and the best honey mustard around. I ordered my tenders and waited anxiously. As I saw them I arrive I began to salivate as if Pavlov was standing next to me lol. I turned to Lacy, and said, “Mmmmm, these are going to be good!” I was right! The outside was crispy and had a wonderful crunch, and the inside was perfectly done and juicy. That is difficult to do! I have had many chicken tenders at different places and believe me when I tell you that these rank about in my top 2! You will not be disappointed in these. The sauce complimented these tenders amazingly. My mouth was in chicken tender heaven!

I can tell you that I have been impressed with my overall experiences with Bob Evans, from the quality of the food, to the personable nature of the wait staff. Every one has shown us professional courtesy and has been so kind and treated us like family. So when I want to have a family sit down dinner, but I don’t want the hassle of cooking it, I will continue to choose Bob Evans! Get to your nearest one and give these Broasted Chicken tenders a try!
