Okay so I was craving something sweet, but I just didn’t want a mundane chocolate chip cookie. I had some store bought cookie dough in the frig and had some left over snickers fun size candy from Halloween and thought, what if I combined them. Ummmm so I did. The result was ‘foodgasmic’. New word!! So delicious, and a welcome surprise when you bite into the cookie. This would work if you wanted to make a chocolate chip cookie from scratch too, but it was just easier (and faster) using store bought dough.
So to the naked eye, these look like normal, delicious chocolate chip cookies. Nothing special, right?! Wrong, take a look INSIDE:
Umm…..yes I know you really do wanna bite, but you will just have to make them!!! What happens during the baking process is that the snickers bar melts just enough to meld with the cookie. It is one of the BEST cookies I have ever eaten. I mean, I’ll be making these AGAIN!!
Give me a glass of milk, and a plate of these bad boys and I’ll be a happy man. Hannah my two year old woke up the next morning and asked me what was so special about these chocolate chip snicker cookies. I told her there was a surprise INSIDE. She looked at me, turned her head as if to question, but then, like any good two year old, bite into the cookie. She turned back and said, ‘Wow dada, these are really good. Can I have another one for this hand!’
These would be great for a party, a church gathering, or just at home when you want something delicious, amazing and unique!!! Gotta try them!
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough(I purchased the store bought roll)
- Fun Sized Snicker Bars
- Cut fun size Snickers bars in half.
- The key to this is to have the dough refrigerated before use. Take the dough and cover entire snickers bar, even the bottom
- (Note: If you use homemade cookie dough, make sure the dough is cool.)
- Grease a cookie sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes
- Enjoy.
Literally you can’t go wrong with this!!
I’m going to be making ctooclahe chip cookies for my dad’s birthday on Halloween and I got mini cookie cutters in the shape of halloween stuff. I am also going to be using mini ctooclahe chips. Can I use any recipe to roll out if I chill the dough for a while or is there a specific recipe that is best for this?
These look delicious!
