I love Hamburger Helper. I know, I know, it’s probably not the best thing for you, but I love it. Maybe it’s a guy thing? Maybe it’s because I grew up with it, but I like it. My wife and I love to recreate favorite dishes, experimenting with copycat recipes. This recipe is a result of trying to make Hamburger Helper at home. While Hamburger Helper isn’t going to break the bank, I knew I could make a recipe that offered you an economical dish with less processed ingredients that tasted great too!
So we started tinkering and man did we find the best ever copycat Hamburger Helper recipe. Umm wow, I literally couldn’t stop eating it! While I was taking pictures I was picking at it, (yea I’m terrible!!). It’s delicious and even the leftovers, which I have at work with me today, are amazing. It turned out creamy and delicious. I think you will be really happy with this recipe.
When I think of Hamburger Helper I think of a few different varieties, this version is more XXXXXXX. My 3 year old who would be a vegetarian if I let her, even ate it and asked for more! I’m not a huge red meat guy. Every so often I’ll eat it, but let me say that if my wife put this in front of me weekly I’d lick my plate clean every time. Let me know if you try this recipe. It’s simple, easy and most of all delicious!
