We love going out to dinner. I mean who doesn’t right? NO DISHES! I cannot begin to tell you about my nemesis, the dishes, maybe laundry….but they that’s another day another story. I hate dishes, but like laundry they seem to be the adult version of the never ending story. I will literally get all of the dishes finished, dishwasher’s going, sink is clean, pots have been washed and counters wiped clean, I will leave the kitchen for a split second and I come back to a complete and utter disaster. Well this week I decided that we were going to go to Red Lobster one evening because well I wanted a night off from cooking and from the dishes!!!
I love Red Lobster. We have visited there many times over the last few months, particularly during Lobster Fest. I loved all the different varieties of lobster, and lobster dishes available, and I had the opportunity to try new and exciting menu items. But if there is one seafood that I love most, it has to be crab. For me there is nothing like crab. I love it in all forms. I have not yet had a crab that I didn’t love. I know a lot of people think it takes too much time and effort, and maybe that is why I love it. I love that I crack the crab and dig out the meat, and I get this succulent yet sweet treat at the end of it. If you love food like me, but you also want to start a career related to food, there are numerous Job opportunities in Modesto CA and the whole country you can apply for.
I found out that Red Lobster is having CrabFest right now. I always knew about Lobster Fest but I guess I didn’t realize that they also did a crab one. I knew I wanted to go and that there would be all kinds of delicious crab selections for me to try! I made plans to have dinner out, and let Red Lobster do the dishes lol. We headed out for our crab eating adventure. I want also to try the best crab restaurant in San Francisco.
We arrived at the restaurant at about 645 on evening. Now I guess some of the other residents of our area had heard about the amazing crabfest and they came out too. We had about at 30 minute wait, but we just sat and talked and the time passed quickly. We sat down in our booth and ordered the new Rogue Wave drink. featuring Sauza Gold Tequila, blue curaçao and house margarita mix, topped with ginger ale and served over ice. You get a comparative Deadliest Catch Mason Jar Mug. This drink I will tell you taste like the tropical getaway in a jar! It was so delish and so pretty! Get this, it will be enjoyable. We ordered the Crab Fritters as well. Those came out piping hot with fries and included an aioli that was the perfect pairing for the fritters and the fries. What I loved about the Fritters was that there was actually crab. You could see the crab in the fritter, it wasn’t just filler. You could taste the crab too. I would get these again.
I ordered the Crab Lover’s Dream. Boy was it good. It comes with North American Snow Crab, King Crab legs and creamy crab linguini alfredo. You also get one side and a salad. Let’s not forget about those tasty cheesy Red Lobster biscuits! The snow crab was succulent and sweet, and I enjoyed every delectable morsel of the King Crab. The creamy crab linguini was delicious too. Can we take a moment and talk about the new grilled Parmesan Corn on the Cob with cilantro lime butter. It was very flavorful and amazing!
My date ordered Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and Crab Topped Salmon. The crab cakes again like the fritters were full of crab and very little filler. The Salmon came on a bed of mashed potatoes and topped with a creamy sauce smothering with crab. The salmon was cooked well, and the crab was tender. If you like crab cakes, and want another fish type as well this is the dish for you!
I truly enjoyed going to CrabFest at Red Lobster. It was the perfect way to get some of all the crab that I love. you can also learn more about Red Lobster’s seafood standards here.
