This is a super simple recipe for vegetable broth in the crockpot! This truly is a set it and forget it recipe! If you are looking for a crockpot or slow cooker vegetable broth recipe, this will do the trick.
We used veggies that we already had in the house. We had frozen celery that worked perfectly.
Chop everything up and put add them to the crock along with any spices you’d like.
Fill the crock nearly to the top. Some may suggest a certain amount of water, as long as you have enough veggies the flavor will be there. The less water the stronger the broth.
After it’s cooked for 8 hours it made the entire house smell amazing!
We strained it and placed it into a jug with the date. You can also freeze it. Refrigerated this broth will last about 2-3 weeks.
We separated the carrots for our daughter who LOVES them!
The rest of the veggies we freeze to add into a veggie soup for later!
