Recently, CVS was kind enough to send me a few of their new Gold Emblem ABOUND products. While I rarely post about specific product, but rather incorporate them into recipes, this particular product I felt deserved an entire post all on it’s own. In full disclose, CVS is sponsoring this post, but let me say this, when I run out of this product, I’m going to buy more, it’s that good.

The product I’m talking about is called Fruit and Veggie Snack Bars by Gold Emblem Abound. It’s very unassuming, in humble green packaging and the product itself, once unwrapped, looks dull. The appearance is due to the lack of artificial flavors. When do you see bright red in nature…not very often. But let me tell you something, this product did something to me that I won’t soon forget. The minute I bite into it, it transported me back to my childhood.

When I was growing up, my mom packed out lunches. She would usually put in a dessert, whether that was a homemade cookie or something packaged. Occasionally we got Fruit Rollups, usually the off-brand. I loved opening up my lunch and seeing them in there, there are to this day one of my favorite snacks, although it’s kind of weird to go into the store, a 30 year old guy, and buy them for myself. Now that I have a little one, we ‘share.’

So when I bit into the Gold Emblem Abound Fruit bars, I can say that it’s an adult ‘fruit rollup’. It tasted very similar, with more mature flavors and it literally was incredible. I took a second bite and insisted that my wife try them. Like I said before, I rarely endorse products outright, I try and incorporate them into our daily lifestyle, but this product needs no recipe. It’s an incredible go-to that not only has 2.5 servings of fruit but tastes amazing and is free of preservatives and artificial flavors.

I would encourage you when you stop by CVS on your next visit to grab a box, you won’t regret it!  This product comes in two varieties, Fruit & Veggie Snack Bars (my absolutely favorite) and Superfruit Snack Bars featuring blueberry and pomegranate.

  1. I love the look of these. They really need to start making fruits alternatives like these because kids these days just do not like eating fruits and other such things. So this should help a lot of kids and even adults get some fruit in their system. It looks great though!

  2. Oh goodness these are great. Had these last week actually and they taste so good. They’re also really healthy for being a packaged snack like this. I wish they would make more foods like this, as I agree with Lena above about this being food kids would love to eat. I can see it.

  3. I have not ever tried these, but they remind me of these snacks I used to have a lot of as a kid. They were sugar filled junk that had some fruits stuff in them, were awesome, but unhealthy. From the looks of it, this stuff looks way healthier, so I’m all for giving it a try.

  4. Tried these last week and they are really good. They’re really good! I am really excited to see these in different flavors too. I’m going to buy some this weekend. Really worth the purchase, plus I love having a little snack when I go places.

  5. These look great guys! I am so glad you shared this with us because I have actually been looking for something like this for a while now. I had fruit snacks similar to this, but nothing that was healthy on this level. I’m going to pick up a box soon then.

  6. Nice, I love Abound products, they make some quality food and snacks well worth trying out. These are something I’d be happy to try very soon. I wonder if you can actually use them for other foods too, could be cool to make something with them maybe.

  7. Reminds me of those brownies with the awesome fudge, haha, I know weird right? But it’s the texture that is reminding me of it. Anyways I will have to try these soon. I love these type of fruit type snacks. And from the sounds of it, they’re quite healthy.

  8. I really want to try the mango and strawberry kind a lot. I love anything strawberry though so I am down to buying a few boxes of these. I imagine these’ll be some good alternatives for my kids snacks for lunch.

  9. I love these type of fruit bars. They don’t usually make good and healthy versions of these often, but when a company does, it truly makes me happy and proud to see some companies trying to make healthy food for people.

  10. I really love these fruits & veggie bars. They need to start making more of these, especially when they taste so good. I can see kids really getting into these more often as they taste so good. I just wish kids weren’t so fussy when it came to eating healthy, so hopefully mine will get into this.

  12. My friend and I had just dropped by CVS yesterday and purchased some of these on clearance. At first we wasn’t sure about them, then opened one and ended up getting several. She was saying how they reminded her of the fruit roll ups and thought it funny when I noticed the same comment from others. My family really loves these, and even more so, because they are more natural. We will put these on our list for future shopping.
