Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole-wheat pastry flour (440 calories)
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 4 tbsp of light Smart Balance butter (200 calories)
  • ⅔ cup packed light-brown sugar (480 calories)
  • 3 tablespoons agave nectar (180 calories)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg (70 calories)
  • 4 oz of chocolate chips (560 calories)
  • ½ cup rolled oats (not quick-cooking) (150 calories)
Instructions
  1. Combine wheat flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  2. Beat butter, agave, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add egg
  3. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips
  5. Make rounded tablespoon sized portions and place onto ungreased baking sheets.
