This time of year is always exciting. My wife is excited that football is finally winding down and I am excited for the championship games. I am not sure what I love more about game day the all day football or the actual goodies and game day food we prepare. Get some ideas for game time food here: gametimegrub.net. We usually have all the normal stuff you can think of nachos, bbq, chips, dips, hot dogs, hamburgers and everything else in between. I think though sometimes this kind of food is too much for my wife to handle. She doesn’t like to serve food like this and especially eat this way. From time to time, she revolts and makes something more according to what she would like but I still love.
I had the opportunity recently to try Alexia Smart Classic Crinkle Cut Fries. They are wife approved and 98% fat free. I knew that for the next game day I wanted to have these on hand to go with our goodies. The first time I tried these my wife had brought them home. They were different from the ones I usually have and I wondered how they would taste. My wife popped them in the oven and 15 min later they were done and soo yummy! I loved the crinkle cut as it holds ketchup or dips better to the outside of the fry. I also thought that the fry itself was able to stand up to what ever I paired it with and took on dips without breaking or bending. I knew my wife had found a winner!
The next game day my wife proudly announced that she was changing up our usual dip with a new seafood dip she wanted to try. I of course rolled my eyes and just decided not to fight it and just let her make what she wanted. As she started making the dip and it all started coming together my mouth began to betray me and salivate. I thought to myself hmmm she might be on to something here. The dip went into the oven and came out with the fries and was done in under 20 minutes from start to finish. What a great snack when watching your favorite sports and betting on sites such as 12Bet.
Out of the oven came a crusty golden brown, bubbly, cheesy dip that I couldn’t wait to dip my Alexia Crinkle Cut fries into! This dip had shrimp, crab, cheese and an assortment of herbs that combined and made an explosion of flavor in my mouth! I was truly impressed with my wife’s ability here. I placed some of the dip on a fry and put it in my mouth and loved the mixture of the texture of the fry and the dip! Then as I am an avid connoisseur of onion rings I wanted to try this onion ring with the dip as well. I bit into a crispy, crunch yummy onion ring that was so complemented by the seafood dip. I kissed my wife and told her the new dip can stay on game day menu!
