I love Italian food. I always have. Pasta, lasagna, Parmesan cheese, these are all staple monthly meals in my house. Kroger is one of my favorite grocery stores and they are currently running the ‘Taste of Italy Event’ in their stores.

What does that mean? Lots of products will be on sale and new products will be available. It also gives you the opportunity to try new products! One of the new products I’m trying this week is Michael Angelo’s Lasagna with Meat Sauce.

I’m a food blogger, but I’m a dad first. Whether it’s a busy weeknight, dance class, music class, you get the drift right? My wife and I stay busy and sometimes making a scratch dinner just isn’t possible. So I turn to solutions that are made with quality ingredients and that taste great.

Today is a busy day, so I stop by Kroger and picked up Michael Angelo’s Lasagna with Meat Sauce. I grabbed some bread and got home by 5:45pm (a feat for me). I pre-heated the oven to 400F and then put the lasagna straight in, from frozen. While it’s in the oven, I cut up the bread, help Hannah with her homework and set the table. Forty minutes later, I have dinner on the table.

We are a family of three and had left overs. As you can see it looks amazing. I added a sprinkle of Parmesan and I had a delicious (and EASY) dinner. My wife was so surprised at the depth of Italian flavor she asked the brand and if they had any more like this! That’s when you know you have found a good product.

After doing a little bit of research I found that Michael Angelo’s is  family-owned. The CEO Michael Angelo Renna and his mother Sara have been cooking Italian food the right way for years, bringing traditional Italian cooking methods and flavors to a full line of single-serve meals and multi-serve meals found in the freezer section.

  3. I love cooking but some nights are so hectic that it’s nice to have quick, go to meals that are still healthful and things that our family loves. LASAGNA is the perfect example and we love Michael Angelo’s. Thank you so much for sharing!
