Birthday parties, remember those? I just seem to settle for a gathering of family and friends and good food. But to a child, the birthday party is everything so getting things like play area sculptures can make all the difference. My daughter talks about her birthday party all year. This year I wanted to do something different. Yes, I wanted to take into account what she wanted, and what she likes, but I wanted it to be different. Something she wasn’t expecting. My daughter loves Halloween. She loves to prank and scare people, she can’t usually do it without busting a gut laughing, but pranking really makes her beam. She has the best hearty chuckle in the whole world. Now I know I am a little bit biased.

So in keeping with Halloween theme in mind I wanted to make a few cute and scary treats. Now, I want to keep this simple because any parent that has planned a party knows that when you get into DIY stuff that it can just really get out of hand and get really time consuming. So I wanted to do things that would be easy even for those who are craft challenged but that also didn’t take days and days to do. I didn’t want to resent these cute little Halloween creatures. LOL. I also looked for a bouncy castle hire near me for more fun and entertainment.

So where do I turn to for the creation of the sweet creatures? Hershey candy is always guaranteed to please. They have lots of variety, you are sure to find something you love. I was surprised to learn about some of the fabulous new products they have, Hershey Kisses Birthday Cake Candies, these little morsels pack the taste of birthday cake into just one bite, making the birthday experience last that much longer. Also regular Hershey’s Kisses have been put in brightly colored foils and they are sure to add to any party decor. All of your favorites are still just as good, the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures, Kit Kat, and Jolly Rancher Lollipops to name a few. Any or all of these are sure to make your party a hit! If you really want to assure success, you should consider getting some Indoor Play Area Equipment and set up as fun zone.

What I love about Hershey’s candy is the versatility of it. It doesn’t matter if I am planning a princess party, super hero or a monster themed one, I can trust that Hershey has something that is going to go perfectly. From Princess topped Reese’s container, to birthday cake flavored Hershey’s Kisses. Boy, these deserve their own holiday. If you love birthday cake flavor and kisses this is the perfect combination and compliment the spider cupcakes.

I love the wrapper on these birthday cake flavor kisses, they are fun polka dots that just scream party. I made spider cupcakes by taking  Twizzlers apart and putting single strands across the cupcake icing to appear to have legs. I topped it with candy eyes in the front and then gave it a “party hat” that was the birthday cupcake kisses. I also made spider Jolly Rancher Lollipops. Just a simple twisting of some pipe cleaners and you have a fun goodie bag take home treat.

In our house we love all the flavors of Hershey’s Kisses. So I decide to make these brightly colored wrapped milk chocolate candies into the monster themed birthday I would hot glue big eyes to the bottoms for an extra scary treat. This little addition makes for a great presentation in the bowl but it also is fun to put in the goodie bag.

To complete our monster birthday party theme I made monster goodies bags for everyone to take home. I cut out large white circles and black circles. Using glue, I glued the black circles to the white ones, and either did one or two eyes on each back just at the ends where it fold over. These were a hit! I love that Hershey has all different sizes of their candies available, and in many different colors to fit any decor or theme I am using. So whether its birthday or Halloween, I can rely on Birthday parties with Hersheys to have what I need.
