As a dad, your hearts desire is to see your children succeed, even if that means you sacrifice in allowing them to do so. My little one is growing up. And as my wife shared in a recent post, I remember like it was yesterday holding her in my arms and saying hello for the first time.
You want your child to go to the best school possible, and for my little one, that means putting her into the Fort Thomas Independent School System, the same system that I graduated from. But what that meant for my family, was moving. Moving is hard, selling your house, uprooting relationships, explaining to your five year old why it’s important. Giving her the best possible education is what I want and I will do almost anything to support the schools she is going to learn from and getting her a tutor at Dr Study. I’m learning how to join the PTA (or PTO in some districts) learning how I can volunteer, taking a day off work to go on field trips and getting to know the teachers and principals.
I remember when I walked the halls of Ruth Moyer Elementary School years ago, and now my daughter does too.
I’m a proud papa.
Part of helping my daughter is helping her school succeed. Making sure they have enough instruments for music class such as the ones from fiddlersguide.com, enough books for math and science and enough funds to give teachers what they rightly desire. That’s why my family proudly participates in the Tyson® Project A+™ label program.
I am proudly nominating Ruth Moyer Elementary School for this reason: I want them to continue to deliver an amazing education to every child that walks into the door, just as they have for generations, including mine.
If you have a desiring school you know of, nominate them!
As my wife mentioned in a previous post, we’ve moved. What she didn’t say is that we’ve moved into the in-law apartment of my parent’s home. We are in the middle of selling our home and building another. It’s a tough process as a food blogger to lose your beautiful kitchen, so I constantly am looking for ready-to-go foods that are loaded with quality whole ingredients. One particular product is Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips and other Tyson® Grilled and Ready products. We are frequent Walmart shoppers and picking up a bag or two will last us for a solid week.
Lunch & Dinner: done.
Add a little avocado, maybe chop them up and put a little mayo for a quick chicken salad, or even just have grilled chicken a baked potato, broccoli and some BBQ. I love the Tyson® Grilled and Ready® because it’s 100% all-natural chicken made with all-white meat. It’s 97% fat free and fully cooked which makes it perfect for a fast weeknight meal
I’m a proud dad of a super smart little girl and I’m proud to work with and promote companies that promote our schools. Thank you Tyson® for helping our kids succeed, (and having some delicious chicken too!)
