It’s no secret that I am a busy parent. I work full-time and manage two blogs, I am a husband and a dad. Whew, that made me tired just talking about it. I, like many of my blogger friends find it difficult to achieve the balance between the two. I think its so important to work hard at your relationships in the home, and I really do my best to nurture my relationship with my wife and Hannah. Lacy and I go out on dates every Friday without fail most of the time. Even though we are both super busy throughout the week, and I literally may only see her in passing so I look forward to our date night. But Saturdays are strictly Daddy daughter time. I can absolutely say that I look forward to this day as well. I truly believe that as important as my relationship with Lacy is, it is equally important to show love and get to know my daughter.
We scoot my wife out of the house to have her day off, and we are as loud as we can be and we are free! Immediately Hannah wants to play horsey, and I completely oblige to play the part, up and down the hall we go!! All the while Hannah is saying let’s go daddy, let’s go! Then we participate in a hearty ring around the rosy/chase game with our Golden Retriever Lily. We run around and play chase and keep away from Lily, and she barks as loud as she can. My wife would have our heads if she were here. LOL!
So on these days I want to be able to truly give my wife the day off, and I don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking either. Recently I was given the opportunity to try My Cuisine Solutions. This is a service that has chef-prepared sous-vide entrées and sides delivered to your home fully cooked and frozen. What does sous-vide mean? Well its food that is vacuumed packed and slow cooked at a low constant temperature to produce tender, flavorful food delivered to your door. We had the opportunity to try the Seared Short Ribs in Red Wine Sauce and White Beans with Thyme and Garlic.
In two separate pans I placed both dishes in the oven from frozen after removing their packages and placed the oven on 350 degrees and let it cook. I am a dad, and I admittedly don’t know as much about cooking as my wife, but this is fool proof. In about 20 minutes I had a fully cooked entrée and side that Hannah and I could share and it was tasty! The short ribs were flavorful and fork tender. The beans were slightly spicy and retained good texture. If you need a tasty meal quickly and made with quality ingredients I encourage you to give My Cuisine Solutions a try. Right now My Cuisine Solutions is having a great opportunity to try them with this special code MYBLOGGERSPECIAL and with any order over $75.00 gets free shipping. We enjoyed our experience with My Cuisine Solutions!
