This is a delicious Orange Poppyseed Cake. If you haven’t tried a poppyseed cake, you should. This one is also very diet friendly, under 100 calories per slice. While this doesn’t have to be done in a crockpot, on a hot summer day it’s a great option! This poppy seed cake is an orange glaze with poppyseeds. It adds just enough sweetness to make you happy without overwhelming you!
Skinny CrockPot Orange Poppyseed Cake
A great low fat, delicious tasting dessert! This recipe utilizes the orange instead of lemon for a unique twist on a guilt-free treat!

Ingredients
- 1½ cups of HeartSmart Bisquick (or low fat bisquit mix)
- ½ of Stevia (you can use Splenda or other low calorie sweeteners remember to adjust the amount accordingly)
- 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds
- ½ cup light sour cream
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of 1% milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- a little orange zest (save orange for glaze)
- Glaze
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 tsp of poppy seeds
- squeeze orange to get juice, add enough juice until appropriate thickness is reached.
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl place all of your dry ingredients into the bowl. (Except your ingredients for the glaze)
- Add in your poppy seeds
- Crack the egg into the dry ingredients
- Add the rest of the wet ingredients
- Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are just incorporated
- Careful not to over mix
- Glaze: squeeze orange to get juice,
- add enough juice to the powdered sugar until appropriate thickness is reached.
