I’m a busy dad. You’ve heard me say it, but some days I feel like I don’t see my house at all. From getting my little one to school, work, blogging and after school activities life is busy. My wife and I look for solutions that are easy yet delicious throughout the week. I don’t want to drag throughout the day and don’t want that feeling of ‘blah.’
In my house, we are big believers in moments. We all have food moments right. The minute you bite into delicious food and savor it. We have moments with our spouse and kids, that we hold onto forever. I enjoy small moments. I don’t search for big ones. I look for products that fit into my life easily, that fit into the mentality that life isn’t filled with valleys with the occasional mountaintop high, but filled with special moments. I want products that are reliable, delicious and packed with what I need. I appreciate websites like iron-door-saloon.com that posts delicious recipes.

Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen is amazing. First let me say, it has a man sized portion and I appreciate that. I watch my calories, I don’t want to go overboard, but I also don’t want a sniff of food and that’s it for lunch. Stouffer’s is not only a good portion, it’s loaded with protein to keep you going.
Most of all, they taste great. I love lime, I have them in the fridge and bring them to work with me often to add a little spice to my water. The Cliantro Lim Chicken from Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen was delicious. It had some nice southwestern notes and all I felt I was missing was an avocado! Even my five year old enjoys picking at the brown rice, which every dad knows means they are good.

The Steak Fajita was also one of my favorites. It’s hard to understate the quality of the product. Just look at the real peppers you get in this. They have a great texture and the rice is just perfect. The steak is tender there is A LOT OF IT. (No wonder it’s so protein packed.)

Lastly the Monterey Chicken. The sauce is crazy good, the green beans felt fresh and mixed with the sweet potatoes I think I’ve found a my Thursday go-to.

A few weeks ago I hadn’t heard of Fit Kitchen, but today, I find myself reaching for them as my go to lunch solution, especially on days I need to stay going. Fit Kitchen is available in a variety of different types, so it’s not going to get old any time soon. They have smart side choices and trust me, the flavor packs a bunch. My Walmart carries these and they cost around $3.75 (although that may vary regionally).

I have not seen these in my local store. I will have to give these a try when I find them. We are always so busy and these meals are easy enough to make and look like they taste great!
Perfect! My husband wants to help out now and again, but is not the best over the stove! I will be grabbing a few of these so he can “help out” 🙂
Wow, those meals look very good! I am going to put these on the list for my next shopping trip!
