Sweet’s in a blanket. Now these are YUMMY. I thought of the idea over the weekend when we were at church. A nice lady had brought pigs in a blanket and I just couldn’t stop eating them. Yea I know, it’s almost new years and I probably need to go on a diet, but hey, it’s candy and crescent rolls, what could be better?! The idea is super simple. Get a refrigerated crescent roll from your local grocery store, cut up a piece of candy and ‘stuff’ the rolls with them.
Bake them until golden brown (about 8-12 minutes) and voila! You have a yummy treat. As you can see from the picture, I got the candy on clearance from Walgreens! $.27 cents is a fantastic price for a candy bar! I only needed one candy bar to fill 8 crescent rolls.
The positive side of this recipe is that most cans of crescent rolls only come with about 8 rolls. That means you can indulge, but not over indulge as long as someone is sharing them with you!!! These are a simple and satisfying treat, especially if you like sweet and savory together. This is a CHEAP recipe, only costing about $3 to make! I know you wanna bite 😉
