This is a sponsored conversation about Crest®. I have sensitive teeth and was invited to try their new product. All opinions are my own. We recently also went to a dentist who were easily the best dentists in Tijuana so if you are in that area check them out.
So I’ve got sensitive teeth. I’ve always had sensitive teeth and it really can be annoying and often inhibiting, especially as a food blogger. That’s why I know how important it is to visit the dentist regularly. Finding a great Bellaire Dentist Office is a must for me. Part of what I love to do is tell stories, whether that’s about my daughter insisting on trying a funnel cake for the first time at our local church festival or enjoying a bite of gourmet ice cream, I write about it.
WannaBite started because I believe in getting around the family table. No matter what we eat, whether it’s a recipe from scratch or a delivered pizza, getting around the family table encourages deep and meaningful connection. That connection is often captured in blog posts about what we ate and this blog has turned into a cookbook of memories for me. But if you have noticed over the years, I almost never make COLD recipes. I have the occasional gelato here and there, but almost everything is at least room temperature. That’s because, in part, I have extremely sensitive teeth.
Growing up, you learn to modify your behavior to avoid pain. Skipping dessert at the all you can eat ice cream bar was hard (trust me), but I knew it would hurt. I have trouble enjoying ice cream because I feel pain deep in my teeth, it’s not fun. Over the years I’ve tried a few different products, but haven’t been very impressed……until a few weeks ago.
Crest invited a few bloggers to attend an event at a local Walmart and try a new product called Crest Sensi-Stop. They are similar to the Crest Whitestrips idea, but instead of whitening your teeth, they help your teeth become less sensitive. Needless to say I was a little skeptical. They asked if they could film me trying the product for the first time and I agreed. They asked lots of questions about my issues over the years and then let me try the product.
If you have loose or shifting teeth, you could lose your teeth without care to help restore your gums. A dental appointment at All On 4 to evaluate the state of your gums and schedule periodontal cleaning can help stop the progression of the condition and allow your gums to heal.
The product is very easy to use. Just apply it to the teeth and gums, as indicated by the instructions and let it sit for 15 minutes. During the time I was waiting, I was chatting with fellow bloggers and forgot it was even on. The strip barely moved, which was nice, and could easily be worn on your commute to work. Those who have a missing tooth , however, have no other choice than to opt for something like dentures or dental implants. The latter is a more reliable tooth replacement if they want to chew food like they used to before without causing bone damage. Dentures are a type of restorative dental therapy that is frequently used to replace one or more teeth. Dentures (read https://www.finestdentistry.com/2021/05/19/which-one-to-choose-between-plastic-dentures-and-metallic-dentures/) are more comfortable and less expensive than dental implants, because they do not require surgery. In addition, there are cosmetic dentistry procedures that can help improve your smile.
Then the true test, could I bite ice cream after using the product. I was actually nervous! They gave me an ice cream sandwich and where I would normally bite it with my lips (protecting my teeth), I just bit into it. Surprisingly my front teeth were not affected! I actually pushed the cold ice-cream against my teeth to see if I would feel it and I didn’t. I kept saying in the interview, ‘I wonder how long it will last?’ The Crest folks say it will last for about 30 days. It’s been two weeks and I’m going strong. I’ve noticed a little bit of sensitivity creep back, but nothing that won’t prevent me from heading to the ice cream parlor!! If you’re worried about your oral or dental health, it would pay dividends to visit dentists like dentist canberra.
I generally blog and write about food, but as a foodie, I’ve got to eat it to be able to write about it. If you have sensitive teeth, I would encourage you to try this product. You can actually order it now! It worked for me and I think it could work for you too. Another thing, if you need a solution for your missing tooth, you may want to read this guide to all on 4 implants in Burbank by Cutting Edge Periodontist.
Just the product I’ve been looking for. I’ve been dealing with annoying sensitive teeth for my whole life. My dentist can’t help and I’ve tried sensitive toothpaste, mouthwash, you name it, I tried it.
I am going to check this out, because I haven’t bothered to eat ice cream in a long time, well I try, but I can never eat a whole bowl of it. I tend to take a few bites and I’m done from all of the pain. Thanks for doing this and thanks for sharing your experience, I can’t wait to try this Crest Sensi-stop.
This is exactly what I need, I would love to test the product out too, is it being released soon? I see on the site is says pre-order, but I don’t think I can wait for this. I’ll pre-order some now anyways, I could wait it out I suppose.
Yeah I’ve heard that Crest was doing something new for sensitive teeth, had no idea it’d be like their whitening strips. This will give my teeth a better chance to get over sensitive teeth because it stays on the teeth longer. With toothpaste for sensitive teeth, it is there for a while and gone. I’m for sure getting a pack of this.
I have to deal with sensitive teeth so this is the type of product I’ve been hoping for, for years now. I use the sensitive toothpastes and mouth washes and other methods, but nothing would work. Some would ease the pain for a while, but I need something that would ease it for a while, and a month sounds quite promising. I’m pre-ordering some right now.
having sensitive teeth is so annoying. I’ve had to deal with it a lot in the past and it really has become quite annoying to say the least. Thankfully now that crest is releasing these strips I hope they work their magic on my sensitive teeth, because I crave ice cream so darn much. Please let it be real.
It’s about time they made something that may actually work. I have never had luck with anything for sensitive teeth. Sometimes I’d find something that’d work for the length of a single meal, but that’s about it. Here’s hoping Crest’s Sensi-Stop will actually work on me, pre-ordering some right now.
Nice, about time we see something that works for a long time. I noticed the only thing that worked best prior was the sensodyne toothpaste, which didn’t keep the sensitivity down forever, but it stopped it for a while. But was far too expensive for me. This sounds like the right price to me.
I don’t have any problems with the sensitivity, but with mechanics.
My dentist decided to drill into several of my teeth because of a huge damage which developed in my teeth roots. I have no pains because she sanitized that sensitive problem, but now I can’t bite into anything harder than bread.
I believe that sensitive teeth can be treated with toothpastes like this but only if a dentist take a look and fix some other flaming questions.
My teeth were sensitive for years before my new dentist discover that the teeth were not a source of the problem.
Awesome post.
