Charleston is the oldest and second largest city in the state of South Carolina. From the colonial era to the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, there is much history to be found in Charleston. Visit one of the many plantations to engulf yourself in the history of the south. You could easily wander around Charleston for a week and still never see it all. Much like Charleston, Savannah is the oldest city in the state of Georgia. It is also rich in history that dates back to the Revolutionary War days. Savannah was a thriving seaport that long with Charleston, was a way for people to get goods and merchandise. One of our favorite cities to take a step back in time! Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Jamestowne, Jamestown Settlement, and Yorktown take you back to the original settlers to our country through the Revolutionary War. Visitors have the opportunity to dress in colonial costumes and participate in trials, war discussions, dance, and more from the 1700’s. At Historic Jamestowne, you can actually walk in the same steps as Pocahontas, Captain John Smith, and the English Settlers. Check out the archaeological digs that take place daily to see their new discoveries. Williamsburg gives a glimpse into what life was back years ago, but the actual town offers plenty of hotel, restaurants, and shopping opportunities. Plus Busch Gardens is a popular theme park attraction when you are ready to step back into the current year!

Speaking of theme parks, Orlando is named The Theme Park Capital of the World. A man with a vision and cute little mouse gave Orlando its biggest tourism attraction- Walt Disney World. - Harpers Ferry, WV
We have added Harpers Ferry, WV for those travelers who prefer to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big towns, big tourist attractions. Although it has over a million visitors a year, Harpers Ferry is a National Historical Park nestled in the middle of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. The park consists of 4,000 acres and was designated a National Monument in 1944, and in 1963 congress named the area a National Historical Park. In 1966 the park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. If you love Civil War history, this place is for you. With museums, taverns, boarding houses, dry goods stores, arsenals, John Brown’s Fort, Marshal Office, and other buildings from the Civil War, visitors have the opportunity to see what life was like for those living during those times.
